Korea has strong biotechnology, chemical, materials, and sustainable manufacturing sectors. However, many enzyme-based biomanufacturing projects still rely on imported enzymes or overseas service providers.

Korenzyme aims to build a Korean-based enzyme development platform that can serve local research institutes, biotech companies, chemical companies, and pilot-scale biomanufacturing teams.

Our initial business model is B2B service-based revenue through customized enzyme production, purification, activity testing, and biocatalyst validation. As the platform matures, Korenzyme will expand toward standardized enzyme products, licensing, and pilot-scale partnerships.

Korenzyme is designed to grow in Korea because the country has strong infrastructure in biotechnology, chemical manufacturing, carbon utilization, and startup support.

Through Korea-based development, Korenzyme can connect academic enzyme research with industrial partners that need practical biocatalyst solutions.

During the KSGC program, our goals are to validate customer needs, identify Korean partner companies and research organizations, prepare a Korean business entity, and develop the first paid proof-of-concept projects.
